Driving along the canal at night.

The C & O canal that is. This is my video noir of me heading to the Sycamore Island ferry landing as I pack up and move off of the Island. If I have to drive on the towpath, I like to drive on the towpath at night, when there aren't so many people on the trail.

I entered the towpath at the gate at lock five and it's about a mile and a half to get to the landing at Sycamore. Along the way I passed lockhouse, six which was all lite up. You can rent the lockhouse for overnights and someone must have been staying there that night.

I did not notice this at the time that I was filming but there is actually a person outside of the lockhouse and barely visible next to the tree. So creepy.

I wanted to share this video since, well, since it's so cool and rare to drive on the towpath at night. Enjoy.
